                    Notes for Lewis Buren Hendrix:

Buren was born at Powell, near Minor Hill, Tennessee.
There was a waterfall and cave near the house that he
lived in. Buren told of an uncle of his that would go
to a cave on the other side of the hill and wanted his
parents to go to the cave near his home and listen and
see if they could hear him.

Buren married Velma Felker at Minor Hill in a buggy
under the big oak tree in front of the house Babe Pierce
now lives in Minor Hill, Tennessee.

They farmed for a while, then moved to Louisville,
Kentucky where Buren worked with the railroad. They
later moved back to Giles County to farm again. In later
                    years he did carpenter work.
