| Texas Pension Application for John Thomas Hardin states that he enlisted April 1861, and served until his capture at Geddisburg with Co K, First Tenn Regiment. He was prisoner until the end of the War. His application is signed by two other men who served with him, N. B. Abbott and C. M. M. Tuley. J. T. Hardin left TN in 1893, and moved to Panola County, TX where he died in May of 1918. His wife Harriet died in TX in 1906. The other two men had moved to Lincoln Co. by 1913. John Thomas was born in Giles Co., May 2, 1841 according to pension 23002. My gfather was his gson. Thanks. |
