Deed to……… Registered the 3rd day of February 1829

N. S. Hastin

Know all men by these presents that for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars to me in hand paid by N. S. Hastin I have Bargained and sold & delivered to said N. S. Hastin three negroes _____ one negro Woman named Easther aged thirty six years one negro girl named Lilza aged Seven years and one other girl named Nancy aged three years. The right of which negroes I do warrant and defend against myself my Heirs and assigns ____ I further warrant said negroes to be sound and free from all complaints or impediments Whatever. In testimony whereof I have set my hand and affixed my seal this 15th day of Oct. 1828.

State of Tennessee Giles County Court November term 1828

Then was the within Bill of sale from Martin S. Jones to Joseph s. Hastin produced in court and the execution thereof acknowledged by the said Martin S. Jones and was thereupon ordered to be Certified for registration. In testimony whereof German Lester Clerk of said court have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said court at office in Pulaski this 31st day of January 1829.
