REGISTERED the 12th day of October 1841

This Indenture made this the thirtieth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty one between Mary D. Price of the County of Giles and State of Tennessee of the first part and James Hasting, Survey--(? transcriber not certain of this word)-- of said county and State aforesaid of the second part, _____saith that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sums of two hundred and fifty dollars to her in hand paid by the said party of the second part this Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold, al_____ and conveyed to by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien and convey unto the said party of the seond part, his heirs and assigns forever a certain Lot, tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Giles & State of Tennessee & on the waters of Richland Creek & Elk River & bounded on the South by Elk River & on the East & north by Richland Creek, and on the west by Lucy Pully’s line. It being the tract of land conveyed by John D. Mclean Executor of Isaac Price dec’d of Mecklinberg County North Carolina containing two hundred and fifty acres. To have and to hold the above described lot, tract, or parcel of land, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, and the said party of the first part, doth by these p_____ warrant & defend the Right , title, and claim of said Lot tract or parcel of land against the claim or claims of herself or her heirs or assigns and against the claim or claims of all & every person or persons whatsoever unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof the said party of the first part have hereunto sit her her (sic) hand and affixed her seal the day ad year above written.

Personally appeared before me Edward D. Jones Clerk of the County Court of Giles County John Whitfield and Isham R. Trotter subscribing witnesses to the within named Deed who being first sworn, depose and say that they are acquainted with Mary D. Price the bargainer, and that She acknowledged the same in their presence to be her act and Deed upon the day it bears date – witness my hand at office this 6th day of September AD 1841
