This Indenture made and entered into this Jan 20th 1869 between Ezekiel Hastings of the one part and Russel L. Erwin of the other part both of the County of the County of Giles of State Tennessee. Witnesseth that the said Hasten for & in consideration of sum of One Thousand dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof hereby acknowledging heirs and assigns a piece of land situated on Elk river the same being cut off ____Lot of East and, formerly owned by the heirs of William K______ing of the South East corner of Lot & Running West to a branch; hence with said branch Elk River; hence up Elk River to Said Lester's NE corner; Hence to the first Station continuing by E_______tion Sixty-two acres more or less, to have & behold the aforesaid land the aforesaid River Estate _______ _____ the appeusrtinances thereunto belong the only proper use & be_____ _________Ezekiel Hasten his heirs & assigns forever for the use of the Russel L.
