CAPT. BLACKBURN

	Capt. J. K. P. Blackburn, aged 87, died at his home at Lynnville Friday afternoon.  
He had been in failing health for some months and a few months ago was in a very critical 
condition, but had improved somewhat.
	Capt. Blackburn was one of the representative men of the county.  He was a confederate 
veteran.  He was a member of the state house of reqresentatives in 1885, and in 1908 he was 
elected to the state senate.
	The interment was in the Lynnville cemetery Sunday morning.
	Capt. Blackburn is survived by the following children:  Robert Blackburn of Brick 
Church, Dr. James Blackburn of Pulaski, William Blackburn and Gordon Blackburn of Lynnville, 
Dr. Henry Blackburn of Grand Rapids and Mrs. W. L. Clark of Lake Biew. N. Y.
