Harvey Long

Funeral Services for Cullum Harvey Long, 37, were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Booth Chapel Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. N. O. Allen, and burial took place in the church cemetery.

Mr. Long died at 6 o'clock Tuesday evening at Leonard Hospital in Lewisburg after a three week illness.

A native of the county, he was born August 9, 1916, the son of Ezra Long and the late Ella Johnson Long. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

In addition to his father, Mr. Long is survived by his wife, Maggie Simpson Long; and one half-sister, Mrs. Ruth Raney, Minor Hill.

Ezra Long was 83 yrs. of age at the time of his death. Having been born May 7, 1881 in Giles co. TN. Ezra Long died March 18, 1965 in Giles Co. TN. He was the son of Dan and Sarah Johnson Long. His survivors were : wife, Mrs. Maggie Simpson Long; one son, Jackie Long both of Pulaski, and one daughter Mrs. Ruth Rainey of Athens, AL., and one brother Wesley Long of Lester, AL.

Mrs. Ezra Long

Funeral services for Mrs. Ezra Long, 72, former resident of Giles County, who died at 8 o' clock Monday morning, Jan. 3, 1949, at her home at Culleoka, in Maury County, after an illness of two years, were held at 2 o' clock Tuesday afternoon at Bennett - May Funeral Home in Pulaski, conducted by the Rev. Mack Pinkelton, Baptist minister. Burial took place in Booth's Chapel Cemetery in the southern part of the County. The former Louella Johnston, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Johnston of Giles County. Mrs. Long is survived by her husband, Ezra Long ; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Rainey, Minor Hill ; and one son Harvie Long, Culleoka.

Thomas Melvin Long

Funeral Services were held Tuesday for Thomas Melvin Long, 76, at Booth Chapel Church of Christ with interment in the Church Cemetery. The Reverend Tomice Dais officiated at the service.

Mr. Long, a resident of the Wales community, where he made his home with his grandson, Thomas Long, had been ill for some time prior to his death Monday at the Giles County Hospital.

Mr. Long, a native of Limestone County, Ala., was a member of the Hester Chapel Church of Christ and a retired farmer. His wife, Mrs. Lizzie Johnson Long, died 22 years ago. Mr. Long is survived by: 4 daughters - Miss Rose Lee Long, Mrs. Kathleen Swanner, Mrs. Maglean Foust, Mrs. Lucille Long, all of Lester, Ala., 3 sons - Tillman Long, Willard Long, both of Athens, Ala., Thurman Long of Goodsprings, Ala. 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
