WILLIAMS, NEIL/NEAL

I am researching the WILLIAMS family, beginning with Purviance WILLIAMS, b. 1804 in NC; moved to Tn abt. 1812; then to what is now Panola County, Tx in 1836-37. From Panola County, I have learned very little about Purviance WILLIAMS. He moved to Tx with brother, John W. WILLIAMS. They headrighted land in Harrison (now Panola County) TX. Purviance married in Tn, I don't know his first wife's name. Purviance's eldest son William Newton WILLIAMS. b. 1829 in Tn. He married Mary Ann NEAL, also b abt. 1828 in TN. Mary Ann's father was David NEAL (NEIL). I have found a guardianship for Patrick Williams, filed in Panola County referencing David NEAL in Giles County, Tn in 1855. I have discovered that he was a merchant in Pulaski and was a partner of J. P. MAY. He died in 1854-1855. I hope this is a clue to when Purviance WILLIAMS migrated from Tn and also something about his line going back to North Carolina. Purviance is my g-g-gfather. Second son, James P. WILLIAMS, b. abt. 1831, Tn was my g-gfather.

JAMES PLEASANT JONES , WILLIAM PLEASANT JONES

JAMES PLEASANT JONES is my father. I was told he was born in Pulaski, TN on October 23, 1896 to WILLIAM PLEASANT and MARY ELIZABETH WHITE JONES. I have no birth record to confirm any of this. I was told they moved from Sparta, TN to TX by covered wagon in 1898. Dad had two older siblings at that time, Charles and Zelma. Any information you may find on either my father or grandfather would be deeply appreciated. Thank you.
