aforesaid, now sitting William Collier a resident of the County and
State aforesaid aged seventy one years since the 11th day of
October 1833, who being first duly sworn according to him doth on
his oath make the following declaration in order to obtain the
benefit of the Act of Claimship Papers June 7th 1832. That he entered the service of the Army

That he entered the said service as a drafted private Militia man in the County of Northampton in the State of North Carolina under the command of Captain James Williamson in Major Rinds (?) Batalion in General Greens division. He cannot now recollect positively who commanded the regiment. The troops to which he was allotted rendesvoused at Wake Courthouse in said state, and from that place were marched by the way of Hillsborough to Sailsbury in said state. From thence they were marched to Six Mile Creek where they fell in with the whole of General Greens army, where they were stationed during the remainder of the term for which he had been drafted, and here at that place discharged after having been in actual service on this expedition three months. He was fterwards again drafted in the said County of State and entered the said service as a Private Militia man, under the command of Captain Henry Casper in Major Peebles Batalion, not being joined in this service to any regiment. He was marched out of the said County of Northampton to Halifax town in the County of Halifax in said State, where application (a line drawn thru these words) where applicant and the Batalion to which he belonged were retained to guard some British prisoners during the whole of his term of service which lasted only three months, from which applicant was discharged by Maj. Peebles at the end of three months from the time when he entered said service. Said services were performed late in the war and complete all the services rendered by applicant during the War of the Revolution. Applicant received the 1st discharge above spoken of from James Williamson, his Capt., but he has since lost or mislaid both of said discharges. He has no documentary evidence and knows of no person whose testimony he can procure who can testify to his service of his own knowledge. He hereby relinquishes every claim whatever to a pension or annuity except the present and declares that his name is not on the pension roll of the Agency of any State.
