John Wilson Britton married Susannah Woods Richey Oct. 4, 1812 in Giles Co., Tenn., they were one of the first couple to marry in Giles Co., Tenn. John Wilson was in the Creek War of 1812. He was the son of Thomas & Elizabeth "Wilson" Britton. He and Susannah had 11 children, their oldest child was Wilson Britton.
