Notes
Pvt. Co K, 14th (Powers) Arkansas Infantry (CSA) enlisting Aug 5, 1861 at Yellville. He deserted Aug 5, 1862 from Saltillo, Mississippi, and is listed under and advertisement for "Deserters" in the March 25, 1863 issue of "True Domocrat", a Little Rock paper. Capt. James H. Love formed another company, Co C, 7th Arkansas Cavalry, which was enrolled Feb 9, 1863, and WCNB enlisted in this company. He also deserted from this company, Aug 29, 1863. In the "Deserters" column he is described as 5' 7 1/2", light eyes, light hair, occupation Farmer.

OBITUARY

Charles T. Jones the subject of this sketch, was born on Feb. 20, 1842 in the state of Tennessee, and removed to Cedar county, Mo., more than thirty years ago where he remained until his death on March 6, 1903 In early manhood he was united in marriage with Miss Mary O'Neil, who still survives. Of this union ten children were born, sevenof whom--five daughters and two sons are left to mourn their loss, all being present at the death of their parent. Deceased was converted about thirty five years ago and united with the Baptist church, and remained faithful until the time of his death. Besides the immediate family many friends are left to mourn the loss of a neighbor who was always kind and helpful in time of need. Funeral services conducted by Re. Jos. Sampsel, were held at Lindley Prairie church on Sunday March 8, 1903 (newspaper and date unknown)
