Registered this 1st March 1833

This Indenture made and entered into this 22nd May 1832 Between William Brown of the one part and Ezekiel Hasten of the other part both of County of Giles and State of Tennessee. Whichforth, that the said Brown for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and ninety-six dollars in hand paid the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained solo and confirmed unto the said Hasten his heirs and assigns a piece of land, situate on Elk river the same being cut off Lesser lot off east end formerly owned by the heirs of Wm. Cayle dec. Beginning at the south east corner of said lot and running west to a branch thence with the said Branch to Elk river thence up said River to said lots NE Corner thence to the first station containing by survey Sixty two acres more or less. To have and to hold the aforesaid land and bargain premises with all the appurtenances hereunto belonging, To the only proper use and behalf of him the said Ezekiel Hasten his heirs and assigns forever, and the said William Brown for himself his heirs Executors administrators and assigns do Covenant and agree to and with the said Ezekiel Hasten his heirs and assigns that the before recited land and premises, he the said Brown his heirs Executors administrators and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title to him the said Hasten his heirs f_____ from the claim or claims of all and every person or persons Whatsoever. In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto set of hand and seal the day and year above written.
