Hartwell Lucy ) deed to ) Robert Williams ) Registered this 9th December 1831. This Indenture made this 15th of August in the year of our Lord, One thousand eight hundred and thirty, between Hartwell Lucy of the county of Giles and state of Tennessee of 1st part and Robert Williams of the aforesaid county and state of the 2nd part. Witnesseth that the said Hartwell Lucy for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid by the said Robert Williams the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained aliened conveyed unto the said Robert Williams a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being and situated in the County of Giles aforesaid on the waters of Richland Creek bounded and butted as follows towit beginning at the road leading from Pulaski to Huntsville running south 59 poles with James Abernathy's line to a stake with a Buckeye & beach pointer thence east 59 1/2 poles to a stake with a hickory blue ash black haw bush, pointers on James Abernathys line thence North fifty nine pole, to said road thence with the said road to the Beginning. To have and to hold the aforesaid land and premises bargained for with all and singular rights profits emoluments hereditaments and appurtenances of in and to the same in any wise appertaining or belonging to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Robert Williams his heirs assigns & forever. And the said Hartwell Lucy for himself his heirs Exrs & admrs & doth covenant and agree to and with the said Robert Williams his heirs assigns & that he will forever warrant and defend the right title claim and interest of all and every person or persons whatsoever In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above written.
