This indenture made this the twenty fifth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two between George G. Oliver, Malviney M. Robuck and John Robuck of Lafayette County in the State of Mississippi of the of the one part and James McKnight of the County of Giles and State of Tennessee of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and eighteen dolars in hand paid to the said George G. Oliver, Malviney M. Robuck & John Robuck hath bargained, sold and conveyed and by these presents doth bargain, sell and convey unto the said James McKnight a certain tract or parcel of land situated and lying in the County of Giles and State of Tennessee the waters of Bradshaw�s Creek beginning at a north east corner of a tract of land deeded to James McKnight beginning at white walnut corner running north with McKnights lands to a black gum corner, thence east with McKnights line to the corner of a tract of land occupied by Nathan T. Gaines, thence east with the south boundary line of the said Gaines tract to a track of land belonging to Peter Mayes the corner a a large buch, thence south with Mayes line to a corner of said tract, thence west with said Mayes line to a corner of the same, thence south to a corner of said Mayes, thence west with Mayes line to a north east corner of James McKnights land, thence west with his line to the beginning containing seventy acres be the same more or less - To have and to hold the above described land and bargained premises with all the oppurtanances therunto belonging to the said James McKnight. The only proper use and hehoof of him the said James McKnight, his heirs and assigns forever, and the other said George G. Oliver, Malviney M. Robuck and John Robuck doth hereby promise covensent and agree to and with the said James McKnight his heirs and assigns that the said George G. Oliver, Malviney M. Robuck & John Robuck their heirs and executors administrators shall and will at all times warrant and forever defend the above described land promises to the said James McKnight, his heirs and assigns forever against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatever, whereby the same may be affected or incumbered contrary to the true interest and meaning of these presents - In witness whereof the said George G. Oliver Malviney M. Robuck & John Robuck hath here unto set their hands and affixed their seals the date above written.
