___________ W. M. Reed, for many years a citizen of Elkmont and well known in this county, died Friday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mattie Overton, at Prospect. His remains were interred at Antioch, near Elkmont, Saturday afternoon, in the presence of a large number of friends. Mr. Reed was eighty years of age and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. He had been a respected citizen for many years and his friends regret his death. Mr. Reed is also survived by his daughter, Mrs. Dana McWilliams of Huntsville, and was the grandfather of Mrs. Walton Gray of Athens. The sympathy of many friends goes out to the bereaved relatives of the deceased. |
