April 1884, Pulaski Paper
William Tomerlin died on April 3rd,
1884. He was 81 years of age. Three days later, his wife of
fifty-one years followed him in death. William and Nancy were
buried side by side in the T.S. Pittard Cemetery, Cedar Grove Community,
in Giles County.

CEDAR GROVE COMMUNITY---April 10,
1884
William Tomerlin, aged 81 years, died
last Thursday, and was interred at the cemetery at T.S. Pittard's
Saturday evening. On Sunday following, his wife, aged 71, died and
was laid by his side Monday. They both died triumphant in the good
Christian faith, leaving many relatives and friends to mourn their
departure, to whom we tender sincerest sympathies.

The Pulaski Citizen
January 30, 1908 Lum Tomerlin, aged about 60, died at his home on Shoal Creek Saturday of rheumatism. The burial was at Pleasant Hill Sunday. He is survived by a family.

May 14, 1936
Kelsey Tomerlin, 44, died at his residence on the Buck Island Road Monday, having suffered from tuberculosis for some time. Mr. Tomerlin was born at Pulaski, TN, September 26, 1891, but in early life moved to this county. [Editor's Note: Limestone County, Alabama] He is survived by his widow, three children, and a brother. Funeral services were conducted by the Reverend J. W. Brooks, and the remains were laid to rest in Legg Cemetery Tuesday, Spry directing. Mr. Tomerlin was a valued citizen of the county and had the respect of many friends and neighbors.
