[Mrs. Flora Dotson, wife of a deceased McCONNICO descendant, has suggested this document may
have something to do with the settlement of the estate of Mary Gunn JEFFRESS, (mother of Susannah
WALKER). The other sons not named had caused me to wonder why they had not been included. Also
the fact that Susannah JEFFRESS WALKER was included in partnership with her husband indicates
this probably does relate to the property of Susannah, the mother of the granddaughters named in the
will of Thomas JEFFRESS. Susannah had a vested interest in estate of her mother that appears to in
process of disposal. Martha was probably included due to the intent of Thomas JEFFRESS to divide the
legacy among all his WALKER granddaughters. I am inclined to agree with Flora.]

[Here we have evidence of portions of the estates of Henry & Susannah WALKER being paid into the
estate of Henry WALKER, Jr. (who has preceeded his mother in death) by the administrators of the
estates of Henry WALKER, Sr. & his wife Susannah. Apparently the final settlements of the parents
estates did not take place until 1827.

[It appears there were difficulties regarding the settlement of the estate of James J. WALKER as
evidenced by the many court entries. John Coleman & James J. WALKER had an agreement that the
210 A they bought from their father would not be divided until "after our mother dies". Mary (Polly) Biles
WALKER married in 1825 Josiah ALDERSON. John Coleman WALKER had his home on that property
& Josiah & Polly ALDERSON also lived on the part to go to James J. WALKER. I suspect John
Coleman WALKER was hoping to keep the 210 A intact for sentimental reasons & delayed the division
to the heirs of James J. WALKER. Also there may have been hard feelings between John C. & Polly
Biles Walker ALDERSON. The three sons were apprenticed out at early ages & not allowed to live on
the land of their father. In addition Josiah charged the estates of the sons of James WALKER when they
did live on the property. By 1835 Michael BILES, his parents, Charles & Fanny BILES & the
ALDERSON family, & Fanny S. WALKER (daughter of James J. & Polly WALKER) & her husband all
moved to Henry Co. TN. Eventually all the divisions of the 210 A belonging to the heirs of James J.
WALKER were sold to John Coleman WALKER.

[It is my belief Henry & Susannah WALKER, James J. WALKER, Thomas WALKER & others of his
family, as well as John Coleman WALKER & his wife, Sarah, & only daughter, Sarah Catherine, were
buried in a cemetery on the 210 A, but there is no record of any tombstones for any of these people.
Perhaps it was destroyed during the Civil War.]

Mrs. Liz WILLIAMS mother left notes regarding her ancestry which named the 6 children above.
I appreciate Liz sharing this information. Andrew GOFF made deeds of gift to several of his
children & to these grandchildren in Mu. Co., TN. This John GOFF is not the same one who
lived many years in Gi. Co. is not to be confused with the John GOFF of Gi. Co., TN. who
married 2 McEWEN cousins. See deeds of Andrew GOFF as it appears John GOFF who
married Susannah WALKER was his son. Both the John GOFF'S moved to Mu. Co. The
nephew bought land there, the other one did not. I believe John GOFF who mar. Susan
WALKER was living on his father's land & paid his poll tax there. I have not researched the Mu.
Co., TN Tax lists.]
