Isaac Compton & Barbara (Smith) Compton

Taken prior to 1875.
Isaac Compton was the son of Basil Compton who came to Giles County in 1875. Barbara Smith, Isaac's wife, was the daughter of William Smith and Sallie Trail, both of Spartanburg, South Carolina. Barbara Smith was Franklin Smith's sister.

Jacob (Jake) Vance

He and his father and grandfather all lived in Giles Co. TN. They moved there from SC. Jake later moved to Lincoln Co. TN and is buried there in Rose Hill Cemetery in the big tomb in the center of the cemetery.

Elam and Hannah Stevenson Elam Augustus Stevenson, MD, DD
and Hannah Carolan (Wright)

Elam (known as Gus or Gussie),
a Methodist minister for 38 years,
was born February 3, 1830
in Giles County, TN.;
died April 17, 1886.
He is buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery,
Boonville, AR.

Hannah Celia Carolan Wright
was born July 10, 1844;
died Oct. 24, 1865, Logan Co., AR.

They were married
October 29, 1865, Sevier Co., AR.
